Industrial Gases For Metal Fabrication & Construction In The Gta
Welders Supply & Gases supplies industrial gases for metal fabrication and construction across Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. Our family-owned Scarborough business provides argon, oxygen, acetylene, CO₂, nitrogen, helium and propane for welding, cutting and site work. Cylinder refills, exchanges and delivery are available for fabrication shops, structural steel businesses and contractors.
Gas Supply For Your Shop And Jobsite
A shop welding steel frames may also need oxygen and acetylene at the cutting station. Those cylinders can need replacing at different times. Talk to us about deliveries based on your usual consumption, with additional orders for larger jobs. For work away from the shop, include the site address and project dates in your inquiry.
Industrial Gases For Fabrication And Construction
Argon
Argon is commonly used for TIG welding of stainless steel and aluminum, and for MIG welding of aluminum. We supply argon gas for welding in cylinders for shop and site use. Our range also includes argon-based shielding mixtures for steel welding processes that require them.
Oxygen
We supply oxygen gas for metal cutting to fabrication shops and contractors. Used with a suitable fuel gas, oxygen supports oxy-fuel cutting of carbon steel, heating and brazing. Compressed oxygen cylinders are available for workshop equipment and mobile setups, with refill, exchange and delivery options.
Acetylene
Acetylene gas is used with oxygen for cutting, gas welding, brazing and heating. It is used in equipment repairs and on-site metalwork as well as workshop fabrication. We supply acetylene cylinders and provide refills and exchanges for businesses with ongoing cutting and heating requirements.
Carbon dioxide and shielding mixtures
Our welding-gas range includes carbon dioxide and argon/CO₂ mixtures. C25 contains 75% argon and 25% CO₂; C10 contains 90% argon and 10% CO₂. These mixtures serve different welding requirements. Order the blend specified for your wire, base metal and welding mode.
Nitrogen
Nitrogen is used for industrial purging and inerting, and as an assist gas in selected laser-cutting processes. We supply compressed nitrogen for these applications. For laser-cutting equipment, include the manufacturer’s gas specification with your inquiry so we can check the required grade and supply requirements.
Helium
Helium-containing shielding mixtures are used in some thicker aluminum and other non-ferrous metal welding applications. We supply helium welding gas and helium/argon blends for fabrication shops. Where a welding procedure specifies a particular blend, send the mixture details when requesting a quote or arranging your next cylinder order.
Propane
Construction crews use propane for compatible temporary heaters and roofing equipment. It also fuels propane-powered forklifts and certain industrial heating equipment. We supply propane cylinders, with refill and exchange options. Tell us which equipment you use when asking about cylinder sizes or delivery.
Gas Supply For Metal Fabrication
-
MIG and TIG
welding
Mild-steel MIG work commonly uses CO₂ or an argon/CO₂ mixture. TIG welding usually uses argon. Shops running both processes can order their gases together, with the gas or mixture specified separately for each welding station.
- Metal cutting and heating
Oxygen and acetylene supply cutting and heating stations in fabrication shops. We provide cylinders for these processes, including work carried out with portable equipment. Refill and exchange services are available for ongoing shop use.
- Stainless steel and aluminum fabrication
Stainless-steel MIG welding and aluminum MIG welding have different shielding-gas requirements. For fabricated parts such as railings or frames, specify both the material and welding process when ordering gas or checking an available mixture.
- Structural steel fabrication
For beams, frames and supports, send the gas specification from your project’s welding procedure. Include expected cylinder use at the shop and any separate site requirements when requesting supply for structural steel fabrication.
Request gas supply for your fabrication shop or construction project
Tell us which gases your operation uses and where you need them delivered. Include the gas mixture or grade, approximate usage and any existing cylinder details. Our team will confirm available supply options and prepare a quote for your fabrication shop or construction project.
Industrial gases for construction projects
Steel installation and on-site repairs can require welding gases, oxygen and fuel gas at different stages of a job. We supply contractors working across Toronto and the GTA. For project orders, send the delivery address and start date with your gas list. Include site access details and the contact who will receive the cylinders.
Choosing gas supply by application
Use the table below to prepare your inquiry. The gas you order should match your welding procedure, consumable requirements and equipment specifications.
| Application | Commonly Relevant Gas |
|---|---|
| MIG welding of mild steel | Argon/CO₂ mixtures or CO₂, depending on the wire and welding mode. |
| MIG welding of aluminum | Argon, or an appropriate argon/helium mixture. |
| MIG welding of stainless steel | A stainless-specific shielding mixture selected for the process. |
| TIG welding | Argon; helium-containing mixtures for certain applications. |
| Oxy-fuel cutting of carbon steel | Oxygen with acetylene or another suitable fuel gas. |
| Brazing and heating | Oxygen/acetylene or another fuel-gas system suited to the equipment. |
| Industrial purging and inerting | Nitrogen, where suitable for the process. |
| Selected laser-cutting processes | Nitrogen, with purity and supply requirements set by the equipment specification. |

Testimonials
Kamen ValkovTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Best friendliest gas supply shop in all Toronto. Thank you Zain! Yong ChoyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Umar was very helpful carlosTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Been going here for my welding gases and automotive grade nitrous for over a year now. I switched from the large gas chains to them. Not only am I saving money now on all my gases and tanks, but their customer service is top notch. They fill nitrous bottles fast on the spot and have mother tanks available if that's what you prefer. They even stayed past their closing time to help me recover, repair a leak, and refil my automotive NOS bottles one day when I came close to closing. Can't thank or recommend them enough, no large gas chain provides that level of customer service Rob TaubmannTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Highly recommend Welders Supply and Gasses Inc. Ran out of C25....and had OLD bottle from TSC. Recertified and filled for an amazing price. Service was super friendly and helpful as well. Will be headed there when the 100% Argon runs out too! Dr. Pawan SabharwalTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Great staff! Umar is very helpful. FAQs
What gases do you supply for welding and cutting?
We supply argon, carbon dioxide and argon/CO₂ mixtures for relevant welding processes, along with oxygen and acetylene for oxy-fuel work. Helium and helium/argon blends are available for selected welding applications. Your order can also include other gases used in the shop, such as nitrogen for industrial purging or propane for compatible equipment.
What gas is commonly used for MIG and TIG welding?
For mild-steel MIG welding, common choices include argon/CO₂ mixtures and CO₂. Aluminum MIG commonly uses argon, while stainless-steel MIG requires a mixture suited to that material and process. TIG welding usually uses argon, with helium-containing options for certain applications. Check the gas specified by your welding procedure and consumable manufacturer before ordering.
Do you supply argon and CO₂ shielding mixtures?
Yes. We supply pure argon and argon/CO₂ blends, including C25 and C10. Tell us the mixture on your current cylinder or the one listed in your welding procedure. For a new process, provide the base metal and wire details so we can discuss available products against the required specification.
Can we order several gases from one supplier?
Yes. Send us a list of the gases your business uses, including any required mixtures or purity grades.
